This module is situated where the rubber meets the road in the clinical practice - with the clinician and his or her contact with clients, families, and colleagues.
Despite increased awareness of the importance of staff wellbeing and a healthy workforce, there is still limited attention on clinician burnout. In our attempt to embody person-centered care in our practice, philosophy, principles, and behaviors, we sometimes fail to recognize the impact of constant empathy, interpersonal sensitivity, and one-way caring.
This module was developed by Dr Dunay Schmulian, Director of Audiology at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland, Australia, to help transform clinical practice through education, training, and support.
