Module 7 - Applying PCC in the appointment

Walk the walk: Make time to talk
Unit one introduces the Calgary-Cambridge Guides and the Four Habits framework, which are applied throughout the course. Students practice active listening and being present through games. The importance of establishing a reflective practice is discussed, and Ida’s Reflective Journal tool is introduced. The session ends with the students recording a role play to capture a baseline of their communication skills which will be revisited in the final unit.
