Module 6 - An Introduction to Tinnitus and Its Management

In unit 4 we study the elements of a comprehensive tinnitus evaluation using evidence-based guidelines. We begin with person-centered communication skills for eliciting information from the patient and explaining results. Then we review various tinnitus case history forms, self-report questionnaires, and screening tools that are used by leading experts and specialist tinnitus treatment centers throughout the world. Lastly we discuss the examination, the audiological assessment, and various investigations you may need to administer or refer out for.
