Module 4 - Extending Person-Centered Care to Families and Children
Person-Centered Care Age 18+
In this unit, we will review recent outcome data regarding young people’s endeavors after post-secondary schooling. Degree and career completion rates fall short relative to peers with no hearing loss. Income levels are lower as well, likely due at least in part to seeking employment requiring fewer qualifications, skills, or education. Several counseling tools are described in this unit to help students envision patient transitions to new circumstances.
