Get started: Workshop program
Learn through role-play
The cornerstone of the Time and Talk method is active learning. Participants learn valuable clinical communication skills through role-playing clinical situations, reflecting on what happened, and giving and receiving feedback on what was observed (or not observed) in the role-plays.
The workshop program below guides you and your participants through a Time and Talk learning experience.
You can use the workshop activities as they are, or adapt them to meet your needs and the time available.

Helpful videos
Next to each activity, small video clips from a real-life Time and Talk workshop with a group of audiology students at the University of Bristol demonstrate how you can run each session.
For more information about how to conduct individual activities and run the workshop, we recommend that you download the workshop facilitator guide and visit the resource library.
