Inspired by Ida is a program that helps hearing care professionals enhance their person-centered skills and apply them in daily practice. But it's so much more than that. It's also a global community of like-minded people dedicated to best practice in hearing care, actively working to improve appointments and outcomes for people with hearing loss.
Inspired by Ida is comprised of two courses:
1. Introduction to person-centered care
Learn the fundamentals of person-centered hearing care including why developing cultural competence is crucial. This course also includes reflective excercises to help you assess your listening skills and orientation toward person-centered care.
2. Applying person-centered care in the appointment
Discover the Four Habits to help you structure appointments and improve communication during appointments. You'll also learn about the SPIKES protocol for deliving bad news.
Complete the two courses to earn the Inspired by Ida certificate and badge. Use them to show your committment to person-centered hearing care and help people with hearing loss to identify clinics offering quality hearing care focused on their individual needs.
