Ida Telecare Featured in Audiology Online

By Amanda Farah Cox

This week’s Ask an Expert section in Audiology Online features Ida Institute Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen. The article presents different Ida tools as entry points to telehealth for professionals.

Addressing the question, “Can the Ida Institute help hearing care professionals get started with tele-audiology?” Lise Lotte talks about how Ida’s online telehealth platform, Ida Telecare, can support person-centered counseling and allows hearing care professionals to extend their services beyond the appointment.

“These tools can be used to inform and engage first-time and returning clients and ready them for a successful and efficient session that allows more time for counseling based on the client’s individual preferences and needs,” she explains.

In addition to Ida Telecare, Lise Lotte also talks about Telecare for Teens and Tweens and Fit for the Future. Telecare for Teens and Tweens is an adaptation of the platform for young people, which addresses their unique needs and concerns. Fit for the Future is a self-development tool for professionals that suggests different ways they can modernize their practices and stay ahead of changing trends. The tools include an outline of the different ways clinicians can integrate telehealth into their work, whether they are already tech savvy or just getting started.
