To support the change process in a clinic or department, the guide uses a combination of activities, videos, case stories and reflective exercises. The Change Guide is based on an appreciative approach to change, which has its roots in the Appreciative [...] approach to change, the Guide helps you reflect on and talk about what works well now and how you can get more of that. This is fundamentally different from more traditional approaches to change and helps create ownership for the process and more sustainable outcomes. The audiology team in Nottingham, UK, won the British Academy of Audiology poster prize for their account of the team's experience implementing the Ida Motivation Tools into their NHS audiology practice.
