Ida Presentations and Booth at AudiologyNOW! 2017

The Ida Institute is preparing the annual AudiologyNOW! Conference, held this year from 5-8 April in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ida will host four presentations at AAA:

LM336 - Fit for the Future: Are You Ready?

This session will look at new and emerging trends in hearing healthcare with the aim of inspiring professionals on how they can future-proof their practices.
Friday, 10.00am. Participants can receive 0.1 CEU.

SW 4 - Motivating Clients for Action on Their Hearing Loss with the Ida Motivation Tools

This student session will introduce the Motivation Tools and motivational interviewing. Former Ida Visiting  Scholar Nerina Scarinci will co-present.

LM340 - Providing Coping Strategies and Hope to Tinnitus Patients

In a two-hour session, Ida fellow Sharon Sandridge, Ph.D, and  Ear Foundation CEO and former Ida Senior Audiologist Melanie Gregory will explain the basics of counseling tinnitus patients in productive and encouraging appointments.
Friday, 3.00pm. Participants can receive 0.2 CEU.

LM405 - Barriers and Facilitators to Implementing Telehealth in the Clinic

For those looking to get started with telehealth, this learning module will advise you on how to prepare your practice and circumnavigate potential obstacles. Ida Advisory Board Chairwoman Louise Hickson and Advisory Board member De Wet Swanepoel will co-present, including a demonstration of Ida Telecare.
Saturday, 9.45am. Participants will receive 0.2 CEU.

Ida will also have a booth at the conference center at location #1109. This year, we are excited to launch the Ida Learning Hall, our new eLearning and interactive space.
