Ida Welcomes New Project Manager Bente Sørensen

By Amanda Farah Cox

The Ida Institute is pleased to announce the arrival of our new colleague, Bente Sørensen. Bente is taking over as a project manager, developer, and trainer who will help share our ideas and facilitate new ones.

Bente has most recently worked as an international consultant. Prior to that, she was a project manager at the International Labour Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, where she spent nearly 15 years. She also previously worked with the UN through UNICEF. She brings with her a strong background in the promotion of human rights of vulnerable groups.

Bente also worked as program manager at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin. There she organized training courses and knowledge sharing seminars. The participatory training techniques she honed during this time will be of great use to Ida during our own workshops, seminars, and training days. Her experience in coordinating studies, pilot projects, and communications campaigns will be very useful as she helps to develop and present Ida tools.

Bente has a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen. In addition to English and her native Danish, Bente is also fluent in Spanish.

Welcome Bente, it’s wonderful to have you on board!
