Ida Welcomes New Consultant Jamie Owen

By Amanda Farah Cox

The Ida Institute is pleased to announce the arrival of the newest member of our team, Jamie Owen. Jamie is joining us as a consultant and will be looking after a variety of different projects at Ida, including new Telecare tools, learning modules, and our ongoing Big Messages initiative.

Prior to joining Ida, Jamie was at the Department of Education and Training at the Victorian Deaf Education Institute in Melbourne, Australia, where he developed and managed different e-learning projects and professional learning activities. He filled a similar role in development and management of e-learning services at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Sydney, Australia. Jamie has a background in information technology and is currently finishing work on a Master’s Degree in Learning and Development through the University of Southern Queensland.

His experience with e-learning platforms and IT projects will be helpful as the Ida Institute looks to develop new learning materials. He will also offer advice as we expand our Telecare platform, including looking at optimizing tools for mobile.

Jamie will also help Ida as we go through a phase of transition, following the departure of our Innovation Designer Annegrete Mølhave and the announcement that Senior Audiologist Melanie Gregory will be joining the Ear Foundation as of August. Welcome to Jamie, and thank you to Annegrete and Mel for all you have contributed to Ida over the years.
