After a successful featured session at AAA with more than 250 attendees, the Ida Institute has embarked on a project to produce a Multi-Media Manual for audiologists who wish to facilitate group aural rehabilitation in their clinics.
This new guide will incorporate Ida methods and learning principles, and by this we mean, a patient-centered approach which is underpinned by reflective practice. As well as practical advice on how-to conduct successful group rehab.
Ethnographic films will be a core component of the AR Multi-Media Manual. Film footage will include scenes from existing Group AR sessions as well as lectures covering content areas presented at AAA. Team members include: Jill Preminger, Joe Montano, Sam Trychin, Jane Madell, Jean-Pierre Gagne, Louise Hickson and Patricia Kricos.
We are very excited about the Multi-Media Manual as the Ida Institute is confident it will fill an existing gap in the field today and it represents a fresh approach to group AR. The Ida Institute expects the new tool to be ready by the end of the year.
