Create your Wellness Wheel for 2023

We’re kicking off 2023 by sharing a practical tool that prompts introspection and allows you to reassess various aspects of life. The Wellness Wheel is a reflective, self-awareness tool designed to visually assist you in assessing and, where needed, improving your well-being.

Originally conceived by Dr. Bill Hettler in 1976, the wellness wheel concept builds on the premise that people could be healthier and more content if they improved the balance between different aspects of their lives. 

The Wellness Wheel typically consists of six or seven interconnected dimensions. If one area is neglected, it can weigh you down and throw you off balance. But by finding fulfillment and optimizing each dimension, you can live a more balanced life and improve your overall health and well-being.

A Wellness Wheel typically includes:

  • an environmental dimension
  • an emotional dimension
  • an intellectual dimension
  • a physical dimension
  • a social dimension
  • a spiritual dimension
