Ida Institute scale down: FAQs

The Ida Institute has sadly been unable to secure future funding and we are therefore significantly scaling back activities from February 2023.
For now, all our tools, videos, resources, and online courses remain available as usual, and a small team will remain beyond the spring to ensure that as many of our resources as possible are accessible into the future.
Read our full statement here or take a look below to find out more. We will be updating this page as new information becomes available.
Can I still use the Ida tools?
All Ida tools, resources, and online courses are still available as usual, and we are exploring ways to keep them accessible into the future. Further details will follow in due course.
We have paused development of new tools and resources, and will reevaluate if or when this again becomes possible.
Can I still use the Ida Learning Hall?
You can still access the Learning Hall and take courses as usual. We are currently exploring how to ensure our courses remain available into the future and we will let you know when we have more information on this.
However, there will be no development of new courses or significant updates to existing ones for the foreseeable future.
I’m Inspired. What does this mean for me?
For individual Inspired members, there is no significant change. Your badge will still be valid and can be promoted as previously, indicating your continued commitment to person-centered care.
I have an Inspired clinic. What does this mean for us?
For now, there is no significant change. The training courses are still available in the Learning Hall, so new staff members can complete their training in person-centered care (PCC).
The Inspired clinic badge will still be valid and can be promoted as previously, indicating your continued commitment to PCC.
I wish to get my clinic Inspired. What does this mean for us?
Individual hearing care professionals and support staff can still complete the Inspired by Ida training in the Learning Hall. However, it will no longer be possible to receive a clinic badge or any supporting promotional material from the institute.
Can I still get support on implementing Ida tools or methods?
Please refer to our website for articles and instructions on how to use our tools and more information about our methods. We are exploring ways to make sure these resources are available into the future.
What does this mean for Ida’s partners and the Person-Centered Hearing Network (PCHN)?
This unfortunately means the end of our partnerships with professional associations, consumer organizations, and universities around the world. It also means the end of the Person-Centered Hearing Network. We hope that the relationships developed between network members will continue to flourish, even without Ida’s input, and continue to influence the world of hearing care.
For now, all our users, including partners and their members, can continue to access our tools and resources as usual.
Who can I contact if I need to discuss something?
For general enquiries, call +45 7022 7217 or write to contact@idainstitute.dk.
We will close the office by spring of 2023, but you will still be able to contact us by email or phone after this.
