New Milestones for the Ida Community

By Amanda Farah Cox

This week, the Ida Institute celebrates our global community surpassing 12,000 registered members  – a ten-fold increase since 2010.

This milestone coincides with the launch of the Ida Learning Hall – a new, virtual meeting place offering members of our community an opportunity to learn more about person-centered care.

The Learning Hall offers bite-sized learning so users can update their skills on-the-go. Users can accumulate short, bite-sized lessons over time to complete a module and obtain CEU/CPD points from accrediting organizations.

Inspired by social media, the platform also makes engaging with content easy. Users can like and share content, favorite items to make them easy to find later, and have conversations around everything posted in the Learning Hall.

“Our membership is constantly growing and we believe that the Learning Hall will create an even stronger incentive to become part of our community. We look very much forward to engaging with new and existing members through this new virtual universe,” says Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen.

The Learning Hall has launched with two complete eLearning modules on Motivation and Life with Hearing Loss. Each topic also includes additional resources, videos, and tips. We have also launched preliminary content on tinnitus, with the formal learning element to follow.

After a soft launch at this year’s AudiologyNOW! Conference, the Learning Hall already has over 200 members. All of Ida’s 12,000+ community members have access to the Learning Hall. You can access the Learning Hall by logging into the Ida website and clicking the link to the Learning Hall from Ida’s front page, or by logging in and clicking here.
