Ida Welcomes New Senior Audiologist Cherilee Rutherford

By Amanda Farah Cox

The Ida Institute is pleased to welcome Dr. Cherilee Rutherford, AuD, to our team. Cherilee joins us as Ida’s senior audiologist.

Cherilee brings a broad range of experience and perspectives from within hearing healthcare with her to Ida. She began her career as a speech-language pathologist and audiologist, practicing in both public and private clinical environments. She received her Master’s and AuD from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and is certified in learning and teaching as well as online facilitation.

Before joining Ida, Cherilee was a course director and lecturer at University College London and the University of Cape Town, where her course topics included a focus on aural rehabilitation. Prior to that, she worked as a product manager and trainer for GN ReSound.

Cherilee has been active in the Ida community for years and previously participated in our seminars on Change Management and Living Well with Hearing Loss. She has also been a member of our Academic Panel and a research collaborator. We look forward to having her expertise in-house, as she will offer insight to Ida’s various projects, tool development, and educational materials. Welcome to the team, Cherilee!
