Ida Website Wins Third International WebAward

By Timothy Cooke

The 15th annual WebAward competition honored the Ida Institute website with a Standard of Excellence Award in the Nonprofit Category. This is the third year in a row that our website has been recognized by the world’s premier award competition for Web developers and marketers.

Judges for the 2011 WebAward competition included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, content providers and webmasters. Websites were judged against Internet standards and peer sites within their categories. Judges gave high scores to idainstitute.com for website content – 9.5 out of 10 – and ease of use, 8.5 out of 10. Our overall score was also higher than the average score for entries in the nonprofit category.

“Through idainstitute.com, we honor our commitment to freely share the knowledge, insights and tools that come out of our collaborative learning seminars and workshops,” says Ida Institute Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen. “Our goal is to make idainstitute.com a vital and accessible global resource for hearing care professionals and others interested in the human dynamics of hearing loss. Continual updates and innovative content – such as our new e-Learning Laboratory and enhanced Ida Forum – ensure that the website supports continual learning, collaboration, and networking among members of our online community.”

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association has organized the annual WebAward and Internet Advertising Competition award programs. The Web Marketing Association aims to set high standards for Internet marketing and corporate web development on the World Wide Web. The Boston, Massachusetts based organization is staffed by volunteers and is made up of Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals from across the United States.
