Ida Presentation on Telehealth at ASHA Convention

By Amanda Farah Cox

The Ida Institute will be at this year’s American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) annual conference. The conference will be held in Los Angeles, California, on November 9-11.

Ida Senior Audiologist Cherilee Rutherford will give the presentation, “Ida Telecare: Engaging Clients Before & After Appointments for Improved Outcomes.” The presentation will provide an introduction to telehealth practices in hearing healthcare and the advantages they present both for professionals and people with hearing loss as well as addressing the barriers to implementation. The presentation will include videos that demonstrate examples of telepractice currently in use in hearing care. Cherilee will then introduce the Ida Telecare platform and how to use the tools to integrate telehealth into your practice.

The one-hour session takes place on Friday, November 10th, at 5pm PST. For more information, visit the ASHA website or view the program guide here.
