Change Guide Presentation on Audiology Online

By Amanda Farah Cox

Making a change of any kind is often easier said than done. Whether in our personal or professional lives, we can encounter different problems that prevent us from taking the actions we intend to. If, for example, you have wanted to implement Ida tools in your practice but haven’t been able to decide where to start, we can now offer an easy first step.

Ida Institute Project Manager Bente Sørensen recently presented the Change Guide as an Audiology Online webinar. “Implementing Patient-Centered Care: Your Personal Change Guide” is a one-hour presentation on the concepts of the Appreciative Approach, person-centered care, and how to develop an Ida Change Guide process. If the Change Guide has ever seemed like it might be too long of a process to get started on, this quick introduction will tell you everything you need to know.

The webinar gives an overview of the benefits of implementing the Motivation tools and the five-step process behind the Change Guide, both for individuals and for groups. It explains how the Appreciative Approach helps individuals and groups identify what helps and hinders them at work, how to focus on successes, and what small changes can be made immediately in order to make a bigger impact down the road.
