Background Information on Vision 2020 Published

By Amanda Farah Cox

The first material from the Ida Institute’s Vision 2020 process has been published to our website. You can now get a full overview of our different projects, meetings, and ideas. The pages are a map of not only where we have been since beginning Vision 2020 in 2013.

The newly launched Vision 2020 pages will take you through the concept of the project from the beginning, considers the applications of the ideas, and looks to the future for the ideas that can’t be implemented yet. You can see video selfies from our participants that introduced the process, outputs from our virtual meetings and focus groups, and materials previously available only to participants. There are also supplementary materials derived from our discussions and provided by participants, including models to illustrate new concepts and how-to’s to help you get started in new areas. We have also looked outside of Ida – and sometimes, audiology – for inspiration from innovative products and practices.

The Ida Institute is not finished with Vision 2020 yet; we will be launching the first tools developed from the process in the beginning of January 2016. Next year, we are looking forward to rolling out our final work stream, The Big Message. In the meanwhile, visit the Vision 2020 pages to learn more.
