Ida Institute and British Academy of Audiology Announce New Partnership
The Ida Institute is happy to announce our new partnership with the British Academy of Audiology (BAA). The goal of the partnership is to enhance the quality of audiological rehabilitation and support the advancement of hearing care. Both are causes central to the Ida Institute and BAA.
BAA is the largest association of hearing and balance professionals in the U.K. They assist their members by providing quality benchmarks, developing professional skills, and promoting audiology as an autonomous profession.
“BAA is recognized as a global leader in audiology,” said Ida’s Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen. “Partnering with such a respected institution that has goals aligned with Ida’s own offers exciting opportunities to strengthen a person-centered approach in hearing healthcare. We look forward to kicking off the first activities soon.”
BAA President Sue Falkingham echoed Bundesen’s excitement about the partnership saying, “The BAA partnership with Ida is a great way to help all of our members understand the value of person-centered care in all aspects of our clinical practice.” She added, “A core goal of BAA is to promote the highest standards of professionalism in our members. This collaboration will contribute in particular by strengthening our educational offering to them.”
The institute’s growing network of healthcare stakeholders is comprised of professional organizations, patient organizations, and universities. This latest partnership is part of Ida’s larger effort to engage with organizations around the world to strengthen and promote a culture of person-centered care in audiology.
