The Ida Institute gave a presentation at the 14th Annual British Audiology Association Conference, held this year in Bournemouth, England.

Ida Associate Director Ena Nielsen presented on telehealth and introduced the Ida Telecare platform and Telecare for Teens and Tweens. The presentation focused on the practicalities of how and when to use the tools and how Telecare can be used by hearing care professionals to extend their care beyond the appointment. The presentation also examined how Telecare can be used as a framework structured by the steps in the clinical journey, allowing people with hearing loss to prepare for appointments, involve their families, and manage their hearing loss every day.

In particular, Ena highlighted the Everyday Life with Hearing Loss portion of the Telecare platform, including the Top Tips for Managing Communication Well resource. The resource features videos of people with hearing loss sharing their experiences and how they manage in difficult communication situations in addition to other tips and tricks that can be employed to make communication easier.
