World Health Assembly Resolution on Hearing Loss

In May, the World Health Assembly (WHA) will discuss a resolution on hearing loss for the first time in 20 years. The resolution urges Member States to make ear and hearing care part of their primary healthcare systems. This requires making hearing care available through universal health coverage, implementing monitoring screenings for people of all ages, and ensuring there are sufficient and properly trained hearing care practitioners available to make the initiative successful.
